Does NOT Fit Acer G277HL

The Acer G277HL has a quick attach mount not the pedestal stand required for this mount. Pretty obvious to anyone who LOOKS. They certainly should have done better, as should I. Fail all around.

Works as described

The product works very well and let me mount my Acer monitor on a stand. It did take me a while to separate the initial stand but I had the monitor for a while so that might have been the issue. Eventually got it separated to install this with a flat head screwdriver. Easy to adjust monitor height on a stand.

Extra Hardware Likely Required

So after opening this, it took me awhile to get my G226HQL fitting well. I tried removing the big screw from my regular ACER mount, but that wasn’t threaded enough to work for this application.So I went to Home Depot and got some M6 x 1.0 screws, 16mm. Some M6 washers, and an M6 lock ring (1 ring turn of a spring). Once I got all of that equipment ($6.75, got extras), I was actually ready to mount.A little frustrated I had to do that, given I paid $40 for 2 of these mounts. But now I’d say it’s working well with the monitor mount I bought (VESA compliant). The “stabilizer” is of low quality and I can’t get one of the nuts to go on without getting stuck, so that was a let down.
