Have had an old AOC monitor kicking around for the last year and havent been able to use it on my new setup due to a lack of VESA compatibility. Even played with 3D printing a solution without much success. This adapter finally solved my problem.Only knock against it is that the mounting plate itself does minorly interfere with the monitor outputs, which defeats the purpose. They could easily have just slimmed the plate down a smidge, else you end up having to buy a slimmer HDMI/VGA cord. Somewhat annoying, but didn't end up impacting my use case. So long as its prim eligible, no big deal to just send it back.

I used it for my aoc 2279 27" monitor. The monitor has those annoying built in stand that doesn't come off the monitor. But this adapter basically works as a clamp for the back of the monitor stem and just turns it into a vesa adapter that just sticks out about 4inches. I would of liked if it got a bit tighter (I used tools when tightening and a 2nd adapter on another monitor without tools) since it will wobble a bit if you try to adjust the monitor on a vesa stand. It can be fixed easily since you just move it back into place of the adapter but just slightly annoying. Other than that its a great option if you have these monitors that weren't meant to work with vesa stands.

This did the job. Even more importantly I didn't have to do a risky disassembly of the display. It hooked right into the VESA mounting arm that I already had and I was good to go.My only suggestion would be to put a piece of packaging foam between the top bracket and the plastic that surrounds the main support beam of the display (see the photo) to prevent metal-on-plastic damage.
